About the role
Owning the accounting operations, the full-time remote CPA Principal Actuary will manage the monthly and year-end close processes, drive process improvements leveraging AI, and ensure compliance with GAAP while collaborating cross-functionally within the organization.
Key responsibilities:
Drive process improvements and contribute to accounting transformation
Own the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely financial statement preparation
Lead the annual financial audit and coordinate tax return preparation with independent CPA firms
Required qualifications:
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA certification required
Experience managing a small team of accounting professionals
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using NetSuite preferred
Proven track record in leveraging AI to improve accounting processes
