About the role

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks a Senior Counsel or Assistant General Counsel in Austin, TX to provide expert legal guidance across a broad range of issues. You will work closely with Regulatory teams, draft and negotiate contracts, manage risks, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will represent AEP Texas in regulatory proceedings, advise on business initiatives, and lead major project negotiations while coordinating with external counsel when needed.
