Role Description:
The Dental Hygienist will provide high-quality preventive dental care and education to patients in an on-site clinical setting in Cleveland, OH. This part-time role includes performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, and assisting with the management of periodontal disease. Daily responsibilities involve reviewing medical and dental histories, taking and recording vital signs as needed, and documenting findings and treatments accurately in patient records. The Dental Hygienist will also offer personalized oral hygiene instructions, collaborate with the dentist on treatment plans, maintain infection control standards, and ensure a calm, professional experience for every patient.
Qualifications:
Strong clinical knowledge and skills in dentistry and dental care, with the ability to support diagnostic and treatment planning.
Proficiency in hygiene procedures, including dental prophylaxis and routine preventive care.
Experience assessing, educating, and treating patients with periodontal disease.
Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Ohio and CPR/BLS certification.
Commitment to strict infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
Effective communication skills and a patient-focused approach to care.
Ability to work collaboratively with dentists and dental assistants in a team environment.
Prior experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred but not required.
