The Opportunity:
BA is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Workplace Environments to join its Seattle team and lead complex, design-driven projects within its growing workplace practice. This role is focused on project management, client leadership, team coordination, and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in architecture, interior design, or another relevant design discipline, along with demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and sophisticated projects. The immediate work includes large-scale workplace environments ranging from several hundred thousand square feet to nearly one million square feet. BA is open to candidates with strong experience in workplace, science and technology, higher education, healthcare, or other complex design environments.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the day-to-day management of large and complex design projects
- Manage one major project or multiple medium-sized projects, depending on project needs
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, interior designers, consultants, and other project partners
- Work cooperatively with general contractor parters
- Establish project priorities, workflows, meetings, agendas, and short-term look-aheads
- Support management of scope, schedule, resources, quality, and client expectations
- Participate actively in client meetings, presentations, coordination, and decision-making
- Serve as a communication link between clients, consultants, and internal project teams
- Translate changing project requirements into clear priorities and direction
- Support design, documentation, permitting, and construction administration activities
- Identify project risks and potential roadblocks and help drive solutions
- Mentor and support less experienced team members
- Partner with Seattle leadership to strengthen project delivery and Project Management practices
- What You’ll Bring
- Approximately 10+ years of professional architecture, interior design, design, or related AEC experience
- Exceptional candidates with approximately 8+ years may be considered with significant Project Management experience
- Demonstrated progression into meaningful Project Management responsibility
- Experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teamsStrong understanding of architectural and/or design project delivery
- Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, and internal project teams
- Experience working cooperatively with general contractors and their teamsStrong client-facing communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, changing project conditions, and ambiguity
- Experience mentoring or developing less experienced professionals
- Ability to balance big-picture project strategy with attention to detail
- Comfort working in a collaborative, relatively flat team environment
- Ability to work from BA’s Seattle office a minimum of three days per week
- Preferred Experience
- Workplace or corporate project experienceExperience managing projects of several hundred thousand square feet or larger
- Science and technology, higher education, healthcare, or complex institutional project experienceExperience working within a multidisciplinary architecture or design firm
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- Professional architecture licensure
- Interest in mentorship, client development, or future leadership opportunities
Compensation & Benefits:
Anticipated Base Salary: $110,000–$135,000, depending on experience.
