About the role

Location: Monmouth County, NJWe are partnering with a leading, private equity-backed residential energy and home services company that is looking to hire an FP&A Manager. The company has grown significantly over the past several years and now has more than 2,500 employees and operations across multiple states. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with senior leadership and the company’s private equity partner. The position will initially be an individual contributor role, with the opportunity to help build and eventually lead the FP&A function as the organization continues to grow.
Responsibilities: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including budget vs. actual, forecast comparisons, variance analysis, and management reporting. Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts while identifying key performance trends and providing actionable insights to leadership. Own and maintain the company’s 13-week cash flow model, monitor liquidity, and communicate potential risks and opportunities. Partner cross-functionally with business leaders to support strategic and operational decision-making. Work directly with the company’s private equity sponsor on reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business performance. Partner closely with Accounting and the Controller to ensure alignment between financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operating results. Help improve and automate FP&A processes, systems, and reporting tools. Play a key role in the implementation and optimization of financial planning and reporting technology. Help build the FP&A infrastructure and potentially develop and lead a team as the function grows.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, public accounting, or a related finance role. Public accounting experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems. Experience with NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, DataRails, and/or Solution 7 is a plus. Experience implementing or improving FP&A systems and processes is highly valued. Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn financial information into meaningful business insights. Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Comfortable working directly with senior executives and external stakeholders. Leadership potential and an interest in helping build a growing FP&A organization. Why Consider This Opportunity? This is not a traditional reporting-focused FP&A role. The person hired will have the opportunity to work directly with the CFO, influence business decisions, improve financial processes and technology, gain exposure to a private equity sponsor, and help shape the future FP&A organization. If you’re an FP&A professional who enjoys combining financial analysis, business partnership, systems improvement, and strategic decision support, this could be a strong next step.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
