The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing transportation projects for local municipalities or FDOT, including planning, design, and permitting. This position offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary projects that improve mobility, safety, and infrastructure in our communities.This role is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.Your Responsibilities as a Senior Transportation Project Manager:Manage the design and delivery of transportation projects for local and regional government clients, including roadway, sidewalk, intersection, and multimodal improvements.Serve as Project Manager for assigned projectsresponsible for scope, schedule, budget, and client coordination.Prepare and oversee development of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) in accordance with FDOT and local standards.Coordinate with public agencies, utility providers, and permitting authorities.Conduct and/or oversee traffic analysis, safety studies, and roadway geometry design.Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff.Minimum Qualifications12+ Years experience in civil or transportation engineering.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Florida.Demonstrated experience in project management for municipal or county transportation projects.Working knowledge of FDOT standards, the Florida Design Manual (FDM), MUTCD, and local agency design criteria.Proficiency with MicroStation / OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or similar design software.Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead client interactions.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Local Agency Program (LAP) projects or FDOT coordination.Familiarity with grant-funded transportation projects (e.g., CDBG, SCOP, SCRAP)Experience developing cost estimates and managing subconsultants.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.Why you'll love working with us:Company-subsidized medical and dental insurance.Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance.401(k) match and tuition assistance.Cross-training and opportunities to work on a variety of environmental projects.Performance-based bonuses and other incentives.Opportunities for continued technical and professional development.The opportunity to work alongside some of the best and brightest professionals in the environmental industry.Join a 2,000+ employee national firm with 70+ locations across the United States.
