About the Role: We are seeking a Buyer to procure goods and services necessary to support business and program requirements. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining compliance with federal procurement regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Solicitation Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, determine requirements, and establish procurement timelines Prepare and issue RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and other solicitations in compliance with applicable regulations and policies Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, emerging technologies, and industry best practices Supplier Evaluation & Contract Negotiation Evaluate supplier capabilities, qualifications, and past performance Conduct supplier visits, negotiations, and cost and price analysis Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and ethics guidelines Contract Administration & Supplier Management Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and compliance with terms and conditions Address contract issues and disputes during the contract period Foster positive relationships with suppliers, contractors, and external partners Drive effective communication and continuous improvement Compliance & Financial Analysis Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and procurement policies Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and files Perform cost and price analysis to determine reasonableness and affordability of proposed prices Monitor budget allocations and expenditures Collaborate with finance, legal, and program management teams Generate reports, presentations, and briefings regarding procurement status and findings
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field Knowledge of federal procurement regulations and policies, including FAR, DFARS, and DCMA guidelines Experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within government or defense Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Proficiency with procurement and ERP software Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM)Government or defense industry procurement experience Experience with supplier evaluation, contract administration, and cost/price analysis Compensation$32/hr W2 MAXGulf Breeze, FL6–12 Month Contract
