Role Description as a mortgage loan processor, this is a full-time, Hybrid role based in the Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for reviewing and processing mortgage loan files ready for closing, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include collecting and verifying borrower information, coordinating with loan officers, underwriters and preparing files for underwriting and closing. The Mortgage Loan Processor will track loan status, resolve documentation issues, communicate updates to relevant parties, and maintain organized records in the loan processing systems. The role requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to timelines, and a strong commitment to high-quality customer service and organization.
Qualifications: Strong organization & critical thinking skillsMUST be bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish)Experience in the real estate or lending industry preferred Proficiency in loan processing, including gathering, verifying, and organizing borrower documentation. Excellent coachability & willingness to learn / absorb all training and information required. General understanding of loans, including terms, conditions, and basic financial calculations. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously. Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with borrowers and internal teams. Comfort with loan origination and processing software, as well as standard office applications. High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
