About the role
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring anESL (ESL) Language Teacherto provide in-person, customized lessons to our learner in Novi. Job Information: Ref. #201126: Student: A 4-year-old child who's recently relocated to the US.
Location:
Lessons are to be held at the student's homenear All Souls Presbyterian Church and Novi Northville Montessori Center (48375). Availability: Monday, Wednesdayand Friday morning (8:00am - 12:00pm). Lesson Frequency and Duration: Three times per week, 45 minutes per session. Preferred start date: ASAP. Current English level: Complete beginner. Native language: Portuguese. Student'slanguage needs and goals: As a 4-year-old complete beginner, her main goal is to build basic English communication skills from the beginning. She has had some very basic English lessons at school in her home country and may sometimes feel frustrated when she does not understand. She enjoys learning through play and strongly prefers games and varied activities over structured lessons. Lessons should be fun, age-appropriate, and flexible, focusing on building basic vocabulary, simple everyday communication, holiday celebrations, local culture, and making friends.
Responsibilities:
Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners toward learning goals Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field Minimum of two years' teaching experience Experience working with children All Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
