Equipment Operator / System Cleaner Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Equipment Operator / System Cleaners for a recycling and solid waste management company in Alexandria, MN. In this role, you'll support material recovery facility operations by operating equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with basic maintenance tasks that keep production running smoothly. Operate and monitor balers to compact and bale recyclable materials Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, and hook trucks Clean, inspect, and maintain conveyors, balers, screens, magnets, and processing equipment Remove debris, material buildup, and blockages to support efficient facility operations Assist maintenance technicians with repairs, tool handling, and parts preparation Perform general housekeeping in processing, maintenance, and storage areas Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE guidelines High school diploma or GED preferred Previous industrial, recycling, waste, or manufacturing experience preferred Forklift or equipment operation experience preferred Valid driver's license required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical labor throughout the shift Ability to work in loud, dusty, hot/cold, and outdoor environments Ability to read and follow basic instructions, manifests, maps, and safety procedures Enjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
