This position plays a vital role in supporting audiology services and newborn hearing screening programs while creating an exceptional experience for patients and families. Position Details: What You'll DoAs a Hearing Technician, you will support both clinical and administrative functions within our Audiology department, including: Perform newborn hearing screenings utilizing OAE and ABR testing methods Obtain and document appropriate patient and family history information Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals Assist with patient check-in, registration, scheduling, and front desk workflows Support hearing aid services, including non-billable hearing aid maintenance and repairs Collaborate with audiologists, nursery staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care Maintain accurate documentation and patient records Follow all safety, infection prevention, confidentiality, and patient rights policies Adapt schedules and workflows to meet patient volume and operational needs Learn and implement new audiology technologies and equipment as they become available

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent college credit Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and accurately Customer-focused approach with a passion for helping patients and families Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and the public
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field Previous patient care experience Previous hearing testing or audiology experience Experience working in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting Why Mercy?
