About the role
- Replace machinery, exhaust, compressor, and mill filters
- Monitor coolant and water softener systems
- Assist with cut-off die resurfacing for mill and recut equipment
- Support routine equipment and facility upkeep
- Prepare surfaces and work areas for painting projects
- Organize materials, tools, and supplies needed for projects
- Assist with general shop and maintenance-related tasks throughout the facility
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working around industrial equipment
- A dependable work history and strong attendance
- The ability to work independently once trained
- Willingness to tackle different tasks throughout the day
- Strong attention to safety and following procedures
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Frequently bending, climbing, and squatting
- Working throughout an industrial manufacturing environment
- Wearing required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment when required
