Summary: Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking a Software QA Engineer II to execute manual and automated testing across the software development lifecycle. This role involves developing test plans, identifying and tracking defects, validating software releases, and improving quality processes in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on testing experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with Linux-based systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for assigned software components. Develop test plans, test procedures, and supporting documentation. Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution using Jira, Test Rail, or similar tools. Execute automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, or Postman. Perform regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across lab, vehicle, and field environments. Collaborate with developers and project teams to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and investigate defects. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release risks. Support software installation, basic Linux diagnostics, and troubleshooting during testing. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardized testing practices.
Required Qualifications: 2–4 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing. Associate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and the software development lifecycle. Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Test Rail. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, or Postman. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Working knowledge of Linux, including software installation and basic diagnostics. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
