Job Description: SCA Pacific Case Management is seeking a qualified Vocational Case Management Assistant/Intern to support return-to work efforts of workers who were injured on the job. Candidates MUST possess a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in psychology, sociology, or Human Services AND a valid Washington State Driver’s License WITH reliable personal transportation. This position will work under the close guidance of a seasoned Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Skills learned will include how to engage with workers, employers, and medical providers to facilitate the return-to-work process. Tasks will involve preparing correspondence, reports and case documents, monitoring client treatments, assisting with routine follow up calls, scheduling appointments and attending face to face meetings with parties to claims. The goal of this position is to prepare you for a career as a certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Qualified and interested candidates must apply by 10/31/2026.
Desired Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines in a professional manner. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of varying socioeconomic backgrounds, disabilities and ethnic diversity. Proficient and experienced with Microsoft Office applications; particularly Word. Must be able to work efficiently and effectively with customized databases and technology. Must be able to conduct internet and field research. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as a team member with professional and support staff; analyze and draw conclusions from case records; apply casework principles to individual situations; and exercise judgment and organize multiple tasks. Strong work ethic and high accountability
