Laundry Assistant Opportunity Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is hiring a full-time Laundry Assistant!$18 an hour, weekly pay. 30 hours a week.
Education and Experience: No education required, on-the-job training provided. A minimum of one (1) year experience in laundry operations preferred, but not necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities: Meet the laundry needs of the facility and the residents. Ensure laundry process completion and delivery of adequate linen levels in a timely manner. Assure that all laundry machinery and equipment are in a safe and efficient working condition. Maintains chemicals under safe conditions at all times. Remove torn, worn, or soiled linen or clothing from inventory. Mend and iron as necessary.
Specific Requirements: The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. Must be knowledgeable of laundry practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing laundry functions in the long-term care facility.
