About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Total Rewards and HRIS to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will shape the company’s global total rewards strategy, with ownership across compensation, benefits, executive pay, and HRIS governance. The role will partner closely with senior leadership to ensure programs are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with business goals in a public company environment. It will also provide strategic direction for analytics, global mobility, and communication of reward programs across the organization.
Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $227,500 – $318,000 annually
Responsibilities: Lead the design and administration of global compensation and benefits programs Implement benefits programs through analysis and benchmarking Manage annual benefit enrollment and compensation planning cycles Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable programs Ensure compliance with compensation and benefits regulations Serve as lead for executive compensation program design Prepare and present analyses to senior leadership and the Board Align compensation with performance management processes Oversee global mobility programs including immigration and relocation Develop HR analytics strategy and ensure data integrity Execute communication strategies for total rewards Manage a high-performing team across compensation, benefits, and analytics
Qualifications: BA/BS with 12+ years or MS/MBA with 10+ years of relevant experience Proven experience leading compensation and benefits teams in a public company Preferred experience in a commercial-stage life sciences organization Deep expertise in executive compensation and Board presentations Comprehensive knowledge of compensation regulations and compliance Strong analytical skills for complex reporting and analysis Experience with HRIS systems, particularly UKG Strong people management skills with a focus on team development BenefitsHealth and welfare benefit plans Non-accrual paid time off Company shutdown for holidays Commuter benefits 401K match Daily lunch provided in the office Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
