The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving HVAC and refrigeration systems that support manufacturing operations, warehouses, laboratories, offices, and employee facilities.
Key Responsibilities: Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and install HVAC, chiller, and air handling equipment. Monitor and adjust temperature, humidity, airflow, and ventilation systems. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, refrigeration, and control system issues. Maintain and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls. Repair or replace components including motors, compressors, belts, bearings, valves, sensors, filters, and fans. Respond to equipment failures and facility issues to minimize production disruptions. Complete work orders and document activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Participate in scheduled shutdowns, weekend maintenance, and on-call support as needed.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.Technical training in HVAC, Refrigeration, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Minimum two years of industrial or commercial HVAC experience. Knowledge of HVAC controls, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, building automation systems, and single- and three-phase circuits. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, control circuits, and equipment layouts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
Preferred Qualifications: Journeyman HVAC License or equivalent certification. Experience with industrial chillers, boiler systems, compressed air systems, and environmental control systems. Experience with SAP or other maintenance management software.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and mechanical spaces.
