About the role

We're seeking to connect a Senior Systems Engineer with a leading company in the defense and advanced electromechanical systems industry on a full-time basis. This onsite opportunity is located in Santa Barbara, California. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll join a collaborative engineering team developing mission-critical technologies supporting next-generation defense platforms.*This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Employment sponsorship is not available.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, integrate, and verify advanced electro-mechanical systems. Develop control algorithms and dynamic system models using MATLAB/Simulink. Define hardware and software interfaces across complex subsystems. Support laboratory and field testing while analyzing system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and customers. Produce technical documentation and provide engineering leadership throughout development.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with emphasis in Control Systems, Signal Processing, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of systems engineering experience. Strong knowledge of control systems, signal processing, and dynamic modeling. Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and electro-mechanical systems. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
