About the role
Full-Charge Bookkeeper, in the Raleigh-Durham area and will be a remote role. You must reside within an hour of Durham, Raleigh area. About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage end-to-end accounting functions for a small firm that supports a diverse portfolio of clients. This role requires a hands-on professional who can handle multiple sets of books, ensure accuracy across all financial records, and deliver timely reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for all client accounts. Prepare and post journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and ensure accurate financial records. Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients. Oversee client billing and collections processes. Handle sales tax filings, 1099 preparation, and other compliance requirements. Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies. Assist with budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting as needed. Coordinate with external CPAs for tax preparation and year-end reviews. Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices for efficiency. REQUIRED: Proven experience as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper or similar role (3+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Excel. Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance is a plus.
