About VATAiVATAi helps cross-border e-commerce businesses manage VAT registration, tax filing, and ongoing compliance as they expand internationally. We support sellers operating on Amazon, Shopify, and other online platforms. We are looking for an entry-level Junior Account Manager who enjoys working with customers, following up consistently, and building long-term client relationships. Prior VAT or tax experience is not required. We provide training on our services and internal processes.
About the Role: As a Junior Account Manager, you will build and maintain relationships with cross-border e-commerce sellers and help connect them with the right VAT and compliance services. Most client communication and business development activities are conducted through online channels, including phone calls, emails, Linked In, and virtual meetings. You may also occasionally visit clients in person or attend local business events. Approximately 70% of your customer resources and business opportunities will be provided by the company. You will focus on maintaining these existing client relationships, following up on ongoing service needs, and identifying opportunities for renewals or additional services. The remaining 30% will involve developing new customers or identifying new business opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, and other channels. You will be responsible for client communication, relationship management, sales follow-up, and internal coordination. A separate delivery team will handle the technical execution of VAT registration, tax filing, and compliance services.
What You’ll Do: Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients and company-assigned customer resources. Follow up on ongoing client needs, service renewals, and potential opportunities for additional services. Communicate with clients primarily through phone calls, emails, Linked In, and virtual meetings. Develop new customers and new business opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, and other channels. Conduct occasional in-person client visits or participate in local business events when needed. Understand client needs and clearly introduce relevant VAT and compliance services. Maintain accurate client, activity, and opportunity information in the CRM.Coordinate with internal delivery teams to ensure a smooth handoff and timely client support. Follow up on open items and maintain clear next steps with both clients and internal teams.
What We’re Looking For: 0–2 years of experience in sales, inside sales, customer service, account support, call center, retail, hospitality, office administration, or another client-facing role Strong professional English communication skills, both verbal and written Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, and online meetings Friendly, patient, and service-oriented communication style Strong organization and follow-up skills Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple customer conversations Willingness to learn about VAT and cross-border e-commerce Comfortable working in a structured, process-driven environment Authorized to work in the United States Able to work on-site at our Bellevue office
Nice to Have: Experience in B2B customer service, account management, inside sales, or sales administration Experience using CRM or customer management systems Familiarity with Amazon, Shopify, e-commerce, SaaS, logistics, tax, or professional services Additional language skills Compensation Base compensation plus performance-based commission or bonuses.
