The Kelley Williamson Co is Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin's largest supplier of lubricants, motor oils, fuels and related products. Kelley Williamson services hundreds of car dealerships, many commercial fleets, the local aviation industry, as well as the industrial and the agricultural markets. We are currently seeking a full time, effective and efficient Sales Representative in the Chicagoland area. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of obtaining new accounts and increasing sales. This is a field based, outside sales position. Job Responsibilities to Include:• Cold call prospective new customers and businesses to grow customer base in Illinois stretching between the Rockford - Chicago-O'Hare corridor and surrounding areas. • Build customer base from the ground up, the selected candidate will be given a wide range of territory in which to recruit and maintain a solid customer base • Analyze prior market trends to establish current and future customer order requirements • Maintain and update customers on changing demands, price increases, discontinuation of product and customer usage • Work closely with Sales Manager to move product in a timely manner • Work with Customer Service and Lubes Supervisor to ensure correct pricing and billing Requirements The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Requirements:• 2+ years of cold calling sales experience • Interpersonal skills required to work effectively with management, office personnel, drivers, and customers • Effective time management and reporting skills • Computer literacy to include the Microsoft suite of products • Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization along with customers • Ability to formulate and implement sound plans to achieve desired outcomes • Self-starter with the ability to multitask but also work in teams as necessary • Must work best under pressure including the ability to learn new things quickly • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid Driver's License The Preferred Candidate will Possess the Following:• 3-5 years relevant experience • Prior oil and lubes sales experience • Strong negotiation skills
Additional Information:
Only those candidates with a proven track record of cold calling will be considered. This position is not your typical sales position, you will be responsible for building the customer base and will not be provided leads. This position requires an aggressive approach to obtaining new customers while maintaining a professional and respectful attitude.
