Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ, for a Founding Partner. The Founding Partner will play a key leadership role in driving the organization's vision, strategic planning, and operational goals. Core responsibilities include building and leading a multidisciplinary team, spearheading partnerships, identifying research and funding opportunities, and ensuring alignment between scientific discoveries and organizational priorities. Additionally, the Founding Partner will represent the institute in academic, medical, and public forums to advance awareness and foster collaboration.
Qualifications:
Leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team toward achieving strategic goals Strong background in genomics, maternal health, biotechnology, or a related life sciences discipline Experience in building strategic partnerships and securing research funding Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation capabilities Proven track record in project management, organizational development, and scaling operations Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment Doctoral degree (Ph. D., M.D., or equivalent) in a relevant field is preferred Prior experience in startup leadership or research institution leadership is a plus
