About the role

Purpose: The Medical Grant Writer will work directly with the Proposal Development and Partnerships Teams under the guidance of the Medical Grant Director to create and update Needs Assessments (NAs) and assist with medical strategy as needed. This process may also include reviewing accuracy and completeness of medical needs assessments across therapeutic areas, consulting with the team on strategy, and supporting the Medical Grant Director in managing the medical opportunity pipeline.
Responsibilities: Adheres to MLG Standard Operating Procedures Communicates effectively in both written and verbal formats Consistently meets deadlines with accuracy and professionalism while working remotely on EST Becomes a content expert for various therapeutic areas and therapies Develops de novo NAs and updates existing NAs. This may include: performing in-depth research on various therapeutic areas and therapies to gain a comprehensive understanding of different diseases/conditions; identifying and explaining clinical gaps and challenges that healthcare professionals face based on the latest news releases, published articles, and conference abstracts; creating a comprehensive narrative on clinical gaps and educational needs; and evaluating and synthesizing MLG Outcomes to accurately interpret findings and integrate relevant insights Reviews de novo and updated NAs for accuracy and completeness. Contributes to the Proposal Development and Partnerships Team strategic planning as related to clinical/practice gaps Supports Medical Grant Director in the management of medical opportunity pipeline and assignments Attends conferences and association meetings as requested to stay up to date on the latest data and guidelines Develops and presents medical analysis in internal and external meetings (virtually and in person) Provides medical expertise and serves as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding educational grant programming, content strategy, and therapeutic area-specific clinical considerations Ad-hoc requests from the Medical Grant Director and Proposal Development and Partnerships Team as needed
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or other related area(s) Experience or background in writing or research in oncology and/or hematology Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize responsibilities while still producing quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and writing skills Ability to travel (
