JOB SUMMARYThis position utilizes our companies Core Values to sell all BTE products using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge skills to influence customers and assist them in applying our products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation for the company and excellent service for our customers. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESSell heavy-duty bodies, used trucks, trailers and related components specs.Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within assigned territoryMaintains contact with customers in relation to their requirements; keep current on market and customer trends and document all activity in the company's CRM system.Identifies and profiles prospective customers develop and apply strategy necessary to obtain orders, close potential orders. Reports on competitive activityKeeps informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers that will assist in sales effortsCoordinates efforts with outside parts, service, and new and used heavy duty truck sales personnel to achieve full market penetration MARGINAL JOB TASKS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are recommended: Hard Skills: Possess a valid CDL or the ability to get one in 60 days, at least 2yrs experience in truck sales or applicable experience, and computer/telephone skills.Soft Skills: Verbal communication skills, Aggressive, Self Motivated, Closing ability, Organized, and Strong Time Management. Education & ExperienceA minimum high school diploma with appropriate experience is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.Must have a minimum 2 years retail sales experience. Preferably some heavy duty or medium duty truck experience. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.Commitment to company core values. This job operates in a mixed environment, including both a professional office setting and a shop or service yard. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Additionally, it may be necessary to tilt the hood of a truck and climb into the cab or onto the frame in order to demonstrate features or components to a customer. PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to sit; talk and hear; use hands to type, file, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Visual acuity to use a keyboard, prepare and analyze data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk, lift, carry and move light to medium weight. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and learn technical information. Light lifting is required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force to constantly move objects.
