About the role

We're partnering with a growing technology manufacturing organization in Hudson County NJ, seeking a Procurement Buyer to support supply chain operations and drive supply demand across a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring material availability, mitigating supply risks, and supporting operational excellence.
Responsibilities: Work closely with suppliers to maintain healthy inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery. Manage end-to-end supply and demand planning activities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support inventory management, production schedules, and logistics. Analyze shortages, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions. Assess and mitigate supply chain risks. Negotiate supplier pricing, quality standards, terms, and delivery schedules. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions. Monitor key supply chain metrics and ensure operational continuity.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience within a high volume manufacturing environment. Experience sourcing electrical, electronic, semi-conductor, or automotive components from international and domestic suppliers including OEM and distributors. Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, demand planning, and fulfillment processes. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.
