Our focus is on investment professionals capable of developing and managing both short-horizon and mid-frequency commodities strategies, combining quantitative research with informed discretionary judgement where appropriate. Relevant strategies may span energy, metals and agricultural futures, with holding periods ranging from intraday to several days. The Investment Challenge We are particularly interested in professionals who can demonstrate: Alpha generation: A repeatable investment process combining systematic signals, market structure and fundamental commodity drivers. Portfolio construction: Disciplined risk allocation, position sizing and drawdown management across commodities futures. Market expertise: Understanding of term structures, seasonality, inventory dynamics, roll behaviour and supply-demand dislocations. Execution: Experience translating investment signals into live trading, with an understanding of liquidity, slippage and transaction costs. Investment ownership: The ability to independently develop, evaluate and manage strategies with measurable risk-adjusted performance. Ideal Profile 5-8+ years of relevant experience in systematic or semi-systematic commodities trading. Demonstrable live trading experience, ideally with direct responsibility for investment decisions and risk. Experience across energy, metals or agricultural futures. Strong quantitative research capabilities, including Python. Understanding of futures curve construction, portfolio risk and execution. A disciplined approach to discretionary intervention, supported by a measurable and repeatable investment framework. Experience operating within a multi-manager hedge fund, proprietary trading firm or established systematic investment platform would be particularly relevant. Compensation & Preferences Non-compete: preference for 12 months or less.
Compensation:
$200,000-$250,000 base plus formulaic P&L share.
