About the role
Supporting the Southern California Staff Counsel team, the part-time California Law Clerk will conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and assist attorneys with case materials in a remote environment, working approximately 20 hours per week.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and analyze relevant laws and court decisions
Prepare briefs, legal memoranda, and responsive pleadings as needed
Assist attorneys in preparing trial documents and attend court sessions or depositions
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Second or third-year law student with an interest in civil litigation, personal injury, or insurance defense
Experience drafting motions and legal documents
Availability for approximately 20 hours per week during the semester
