About the role
This is a requisition for an Executive Consultant with experience in Genomic Epidemiology (Client) and Advanced Molecular Diagnostic (AMD) techniques to perform an assessment of the current TDH data sharing infrastructure across lab and epidemiology staff, use that assessment to develop and design an roadmap, and develop an implementation plan. The consultant will be expected to design the assessment based on their specific domain knowledge and create a clear vision for this project. The candidate will need to demonstrate working, applied knowledge with laboratory information systems, communicable disease surveillance systems, IT infrastructure options such as SQL and Linux computing platforms, standard AMD software and packages, and data security and interoperability standards. This position will require successfully eliciting needs and ideas from a variety of staff including laboratory technicians, informatics staff, disease surveillance staff, IT staff, and others. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and develop positive rapport with staff at analyst and executive levels. This is a time-limited, prescribed project which could be completed along with other existing employment that complies with Covendis and TDH staffing contracts.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
