About the role
We are seeking an experienced Remote Payroll Specialist to process high-volume, multi-state payroll while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll for an assigned employee population across multiple states. Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and data validation. Review timekeeping, deductions, tax withholdings, and payroll reports. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries. Support year-end processing, system upgrades, and special payroll projects. Maintain compliance with applicable state and local payroll tax requirements. Protect confidential employee and payroll information.
Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience. Experience with high-volume, multi-state payroll. Experience with a major payroll/HCM system preferred. Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering, and formulas. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reach out today to learn more!
