We do this through our Takitani foundation that grants scholarships to deserving local students, our solar farm on the Big Island, and other social & environmental position starts at 5:00 AMPosition Summary Under the direction of the Production Managers, Supervisors, and Leads, performs work for production and packaging lines.
Essential Functions: Manages the loading of chocolate into tanks for production use. Forms and loads shipping cartons; manually stacks and moves cased products. Provides logistical support for all production and packaging activities. Weighs, loads, mixes, and cooks ingredients to prepare candy and related products. Stacks and pallets products to finish-packaging line. Understands and works safely with heavy equipment, including but not limited to various pallet jacks, dollies, hand trucks, and forklifts. Collaborates with other employees to ensure smooth production with no interruptions in the supply of needed items throughout the day. Cleans factory areas and provides janitorial and maintenance support as needed. Assists with off-season cleaning. Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with company policies and procedures. Regular attendance is required for the position.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience/training is required. Must provide Tuberculosis (TB) certificate from a valid medical provider as required by the State of Hawaii, Department of Health. Strong ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to reach, grasp, and handle tasks at a machine-paced level of activity. Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English at a high school level. Frequent: Pushing; pulling; standing; walking; sitting; climbing; bending; forward reaching; twisting; side bending; overhead reach; grasping; use of hands, finger dexterity; eye-hand-foot coordination; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; ability to lift 25 lbs., ability to push and pull 100 lbs., and talk or hear.
