About the role

Overview In this role you will shape the data and AI platform strategy, building cloud-native, scalable solutions that enable analytics and decision-making. You will lead the design and delivery of web apps, data pipelines, and AI-enabled services within an enterprise data platform environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure security, governance, and regulatory compliance while advancing AI/ML capabilities at scale. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering robust, enterprise-grade platforms with measurable impact. Compensation / Benefits 401K with company matchcomprehensive health insurancepaid time off Employee Assistance Programincentive compensationtax-advantaged savings plans Responsibilities Define data and AI platform strategy across web apps, APIs, data pipelines, and AI-enabled services Drive cloud-native, scalable architectures on AWS with Databricks as core data/AI platform Set engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices across web, data, and AI domains Ensure platforms meet security, governance, and regulatory requirements Lead design/evolution of web-based applications and services (Java, Python, modern web tech)Oversee RESTful APIs, microservices, and UI-driven apps integrated with enterprise data platforms Provide technical leadership for enterprise-scale data engineering solutions Oversee batch and streaming data pipelines on Databricks (Spark/PySpark) on AWSLead integration of AI/ML tools and techniques into web/data platforms Enable AI-ready datasets, feature engineering pipelines, and model inference capabilities Key requirements 15+ years of experience in software and data engineering Strong hands-on Java and Python development Proven experience leading web-based applications, APIs, and services in enterprise environments Deep experience in data engineering and large-scale platforms Significant experience with Databricks on AWS (Spark/PySpark)Practical experience applying AI/ML tools in production or enterprise platforms Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, security, and governance Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skillsleadershipcommunicationstakeholder management Java PythonRESTful APIs
