About the role
Boutique Manager | Walker Boutique & Little Doses | Statesboro, GAYou've run a sales floor. You've built a team. You know what a great display does to a sale. Now you want a store where your eye and your leadership actually matter. Walker Boutique is a family-owned boutique in Statesboro's Market District. We're looking for an experienced retail leader to run our floor across Walker Boutique and Little Doses, our children's boutique. You'll lead the team, own how the store looks, and guide families through weddings and new babies through our registry program. This isn't a chain where merchandising arrives in a binder from corporate. Here, the floor is yours. This is not an entry-level role. If you haven't led a team on a sales floor, this isn't the right fit. What You'll OwnYour TeamBuild the associate schedule within the payroll budget, set each semester Handle time-off requests, time adjustments, and payroll approval each pay period Hire, train, evaluate, and coach your sales associates Address attendance and performance issues early and document them Develop your people. Associates who are developed stay longer and serve better. Your FloorLead from the floor, not an office. Expect to spend roughly 70–80% of your day with customers and your team. Own merchandising and floor presentation, working with our buyers on how new product is shown Direct daily merchandising: stocking, steaming, folding, and display refreshes Get new merchandise onto the floor fast and make it sell Know the product across every category: women's apparel, children's, gifts, jewelry, accessories, and home Set the service standard personally. Greet every customer, answer the phone professionally, and run Shopify POS accurately. Safeguard store assets and follow policy on theft Wedding and Baby Registry Own the registry program: procedures, inventory, and communications Consult with brides, expecting parents, and their families on options and special requests Build and maintain registries in Gift Reggie with accurate product and pricing Track purchases and flag replenishment needs Coordinate showers, drop-offs, gift wrap, and pickups Keep the bridal room beautiful and well-merchandised What You Bring Required 2+ years leading a retail team (corporate or small business): building schedules, coaching associates, and handling performance problems A real eye for fashion and merchandising. You notice when a display is off, and you know how to fix it.A customer-first instinct. You'd rather be on the floor helping someone than behind a counter. Follow-through. You finish what you start and hold your team to the same standard. Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
