About the role
To enhance clinical documentation quality, the full-time Georgia Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will engage with healthcare teams to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate reimbursement for services rendered, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
Improves clinical documentation quality through admission and continued stay reviews following established guidelines
Facilitates modifications to documentation to ensure accurate representation of patient severity and reimbursement levels
Educates healthcare team members on documentation practices and collaborates with coding staff to optimize DRG assignments
Required qualifications:
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Georgia
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Five years of professional nursing experience
Familiarity with ICD10 coding conventions and clinical documentation requirements
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently
