Role: Field Deployment Engineer (Install & Validation)
Duration: 12-month contract with potential extensions
Location: Edison NJ, Onsite Travel to deployment sites across the U.S., potentially 80% during full rollout.
Pay rate: $55-60/hour W2, client will not consider C2CTravel expenses for reimbursement.
Job summary: The Field Deployment Engineer will travel to customer sites to validate third-party physical infrastructure deployments and provide hands-on installation support as needed, including work with GPU servers, switches, and structured cabling (MPO, ethernet, and other cable types). This role ensures installations meet company standards and quality expectations across both third-party and internally performed work.
Required skills: -Experience in data center deployments, field services, infrastructure installation, or network physical-layer work.-Ability to assess installation quality and follow defined deployment standards.-Hands-on experience installing servers, switches, and structured cabling (MPO, ethernet) in a data center environment.-Comfortable working independently at customer sites and leading small onsite installation teams, with minimal day-to-day oversight.-Willing and able to travel frequently throughout the U.S.-Able to perform physical installation work in data center environments, including hands-on cabling and equipment install.
