About the Role: The HR Manager is responsible for managing Keer America’s day-to-day Human Resources function, including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, HR compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This is a hands-on management role that works closely with company leadership, department managers, supervisors, and employees to support workforce needs and ensure HR policies and practices are implemented consistently and effectively. The ideal candidate is practical, organized, proactive, and comfortable working directly with employees and managers in a manufacturing environment. This position requires someone who can manage daily HR matters while also improving HR processes, employee development, and workforce stability as the company continues to grow. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is required to support communication with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly, professional, and management positions. Work with department managers to identify staffing needs, hiring priorities, and position requirements. Manage job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding. Develop and maintain relationships with recruiting partners, schools, community organizations, job boards, and other talent sources. Build candidate pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs. Monitor staffing levels and provide hiring and workforce updates to management.2. Training & Employee Development Manage and coordinate new-hire orientation, onboarding, and employee training activities. Work with department managers to identify training and development needs. Develop and improve training processes, materials, and documentation. Support supervisor and management development. Monitor required employee training and maintain appropriate training records. Manage and support performance review processes and employee development plans. Identify opportunities for internal development, promotion, and succession planning.3. HR Compliance & Policies Ensure HR practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation. Manage employment documentation and processes, including I-9, E-Verify, background checks, and related requirements. Manage and coordinate leave, attendance, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, forms, and employee communications. Ensure employment actions and decisions are properly documented and consistently administered.4. Performance Management & Workforce Support Manage the company’s performance review and employee evaluation processes. Work with managers to address employee performance concerns and establish appropriate follow-up actions. Coordinate promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and other employee status changes. Monitor turnover, attendance, staffing levels, and other workforce trends. Provide HR reports and workforce information to management to support decision-making. Develop initiatives to improve employee retention, performance, and workforce stability.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Generalist, HR Manager, HR Supervisor, or similar role. Well-rounded experience across employee relations, recruitment, training, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. Working knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance requirements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive employee matters professionally and confidentially. Strong organizational, problem-solving, documentation, and follow-up skills. Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or a similar workforce environment is strongly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems. Mandarin Chinese proficiency required.
Work Environment: Full-time, on-site position located in Lancaster County, South Carolina. Hands-on HR management role supporting both office and manufacturing employees. Regular interaction with employees, supervisors, department managers, and senior leadership. Opportunity to play an important role in developing and strengthening the company’s HR function.
