About the role
- Responsibility of maintaining activities of the printer/decorator beverage cans with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity and Spoilage.
- Ability to operate, safe operation, and the maintaining of decorator equipment.
- Communicates all pertinent information between the supervisor, quality control, departments, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related information.
- Assists and trains and/or coaching of all new operators as needed or required.
- Applies skills, methods to improve plant production.
- Inspects product to ensure compliance to quality standards
- Responsible in maintaining quality and modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal efficiencies.
- Complete and/or administer necessary documentation such as production sheets, schedule, monthly SAFE cards, accident/near miss/hazard reporting and process control sheets.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
- High School Education/GED2-3 year(s) in setup/operating/adjusting printing decorators in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to operate, read, understand, measuring x rite color density guage, and computers.
- Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
- Preferred Requirements10 Hour OSHA Certification
- Operation of a Rutherford Printer
- Beverage Packaging industry experience
- Ink toning knowledge
- $ 33.60- $ 35.80 per hour
