Administrative Assistant - Guest ServicesDivision: Office of the Chief of StaffReports To: Executive Director, Media & Public RelationsFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSalary Schedule: AS8Work Days: 244Essential Duties:Provide the highest level of customer service while interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.Use established guidelines for call handling to provide information and/or route calls to appropriate locations.Support the relationship between HCS and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with stakeholders, visitors, and District staff.Greet, assist, and announce visitors. Implement visitor sign-in & sign-out process.Maintain a professional workspace which reflects positively on the District in the presence of stakeholders.Provide instructions and first level support to visitors/applicants based on best practices.Distribute items left for pickup and disseminate requested information.Access and navigate HCS website to provide information as needed to both internal and external stakeholders.Effectively and efficiently manage US Mail.Perform clerical duties as required.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved high school equivalency (HSE), required.Ability to successfully operate a variety of office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, etc.Ability to work well with students, parents, staff, and the community.Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.Ability to be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.Ability to be present at the physical worksite.Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.Ability to perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
