Out Scout is partnered with 3 separate companies in the energy tech space that are looking to hire a senior-level sales executive with experience selling to utility customers. Opportunity 1: Sales Director, $60M ARR PE-backed company Out Scout is partnered with a company that has created a simulation tool to showcase how power flows & prices behave across the electrical grid. For example, it helps engineers analyze what might happen if a new wind farm were built, or what would happen if a big city needed more energy. It also provides data about how much energy should cost in certain locations at certain times. Their annual revenues are approx $60M, and they are growing ~30-40% YoY. They started building out their outbound GTM function 1 year ago, which has skyrocketed their growth. They’re seeking a Sales Director (senior-level individual contributor) to sell to their utility clients. You will work through inbound leads, develop net new pipeline through outbound efforts, and help with expansion into existing accounts. Their products are highly technical, so they are looking for someone with a technical background or experience in the energy or power market space. This role is remote and can be hired anywhere in the US.Comp for this role: approx 130-160k base (250-290k OTE)Opportunity 2: Account Executive, $60M ARR PE-backed company Out Scout is partnered with a company that has created a simulation tool to showcase how power flows & prices behave across the electrical grid. They are seeking an Account Executive to help them generate and expand business across utilities, ISOs, and trading firms. They are ideally looking for someone with experience in the energy-tech space, who has approx 2-5 years selling to utilities, ISOs, or trading firms. This role is remote and can be hired anywhere in the US.Comp: approx 100-120k base + ~ 60-72k commissions for year 1.Opportunity 3: Director of Business Development, PE-backed Series B company Out Scout is partnered with a Series B energy-tech company that has created a blend of hardware and software that gives electric utilities real-time visibility into emerging grid hazards. Founded in 2020, they are a Series B company. Their revenue has grown 7x within one year, and they have raised over $90M in funding. Reporting to the VP of Revenue, this role will drive revenue growth across the Central US.The ideal candidate has experience selling to electrical utilities & has a technical background (engineering undergrad, or experience as an engineer).Comp for this role is approx 180-200k base + 65k commissions for Year 1.This role is remote, but must be hired in the Central US, ideally near a major airport. Opportunity 4: Director/VP Utility Sales (title will depend on experience level)Out Scout is partnered with a seed-stage company who is looking to hire their first utility seller. Their product helps to give data centers access to additional electricity without having to wait years for new grid infrastructure. They have established a partnership with Duke Energy & Dominion & are looking to continue that growth. This role will be responsible for establishing additional partnerships with utility clients around the US.This role can be remote, located anywhere in the US.Comp: flexible depending on experience, but on target earnings for first year are approx 200-250k + significant equity.
