About the role
7+ years of experience in government affairs, legislative or congressional offices, regulatory agencies, trade associations, political organizations, public affairs consultancies, federal and state advocacy strategy, or a related field. Strong knowledge of the U.S. federal, state, and local political, legislative, and regulatory landscape. Experience with food, beverage, dietary supplement, caffeine, nutrition, consumer-product, or related policy issues preferred. Demonstrated ability to monitor, analyze, and communicate legislative, regulatory, political, and advocacy developments. Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with policymakers, government officials, trade associations, consultants, coalitions, and industry partners. Experience developing policy positions, briefing materials, talking points, stakeholder maps, and executive recommendations. Experience managing external consultants, coalitions, and trade‑association relationships. Strong political judgment, strategic thinking, risk assessment, and issue‑management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly to business and external audiences. Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment, manage competing priorities, and travel as needed. Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, or a related field. English required, German, French, Spanish or other language a plus. Travel 30-40%Permanent Benefits eligible
