About the role

Job Description: The Plastic Process Technician is responsible for supporting day-to-day injection molding operations by setting up, operating, monitoring, and optimizing plastic manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of high-quality parts. This individual performs machine start-ups, process adjustments, troubleshooting, and complete mold changeovers while maintaining molding parameters within approved specifications. They work closely with Plastics Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to evaluate equipment performance, identify and resolve production issues, and implement process improvements that reduce defects, increase efficiency, and minimize downtime. The role includes auditing molding machines for part quality, maintaining a strong understanding of molds and molding equipment, reporting mold repair needs, preparing molds for storage and future production runs, and ensuring all processes meet safety and quality standards. The Plastic Process Technician also supports continuous improvement initiatives, maintains accurate process documentation, and serves as a key technical resource on the production floor to help achieve production goals while delivering consistent product quality.
