Telephone Operator Join a mission-driven team at Mercy Hospital, a 375-bed not-for-profit hospital known for compassionate care that treats the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Be the calm, professional voice at the center of hospital communication. As a Telephone Operator, you'll manage incoming and outgoing calls, respond to emergencies, and help ensure a safe and connected environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate the Avaya switchboard to handle all calls promptly and professionally Monitor hospital codes, alarms, and safety systems Activate beepers and emergency notifications as needed Maintain confidentiality and accuracy with patient information Support telecommunications operations and assist with additional duties as needed Represent the hospital with a professional demeanor and appearance
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (required) Switchboard experience (preferred) Strong verbal communication and multitasking skills (required)
