Oracle Database AdminDuration: 06+ months contract with possibility of extension or conversionLocation: Day 1 Onsite in McLean VA, Dallas TX, Atlanta GA, New York NYDatabase Engineer Specialist responsibilities include:Oracle, DB2, Sybase database design, including architecture, installation procedures, build and configuration standardsConfigure Database and Database Clients to use Data in Transit TLS encryption / or Password in Transit Encryption are required by the projectTroubleshoot and solution Encrypted connections of various types, including JDBC, ODBC, and native clientsDatabase maintenance automation using Ansible, SHELL, pythonProvide on-call support on rotation as per schedulesBasic Requirements:More than 7 years of experience in Oracle, DB2, or Sybase Database administrationIn Depth understanding of Database technology, standard patterns, and best practicesExtensive Database configurationDeep knowledge of industry-standard, enterprise-class best practices for a large database environmentGood understanding of Linux/VM platformDeep understanding of HA, DR Database, and storage technologies as they relate to OracleExperience implementing, supporting, and auditing database security in OracleExperience with Unix/Linux OS platform and Unix Shell/Perl scripting and automationPreferred Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in virtual environment using VMwareDatabase vendor certification
