About the Role: Clayton Valley Dance Academy in Concord, CA is looking for a passionate and talented Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. If you love sharing your love of dance and making a lasting impact on young performers, we want to hear from you! We are currently looking to hire a teacher for our Monday and Tuesday classes including Hip Hop, Tumbling, Adult Hip Hop jazz, contemporary and beginning ballet and tap. Classes run 3:30pm - 8:30pm weekly.
Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging dance instruction across styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, or contemporary Teach students of varying ages and skill levels in a positive, structured class environment Develop age-appropriate choreography for recitals, showcases, and performances Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere Communicate effectively with students, parents, and studio staff Assist with studio events, recitals, and special performances as needed
Requirements: Prior experience teaching dance in a studio, school, or recreational setting Proficiency in one or more dance styles (ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, etc.) Strong classroom management and student engagement skills Ability to work with children and teens of all experience levels Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Passion for dance education and student development
