Role Description: The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytics, reporting, and downstream applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, implementing data models and warehousing solutions, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance. The role involves collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. The Data Engineer will monitor production data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and introduce improvements to automate and streamline data operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY.
Qualifications: Strong skills in data engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines and services. Experience with data modeling and data warehousing to support reporting and analytics needs. Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools for integrating data from multiple sources. Ability to work with data analytics teams to deliver clean, well-structured datasets and optimize data access. Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).Understanding of data governance, data quality practices, and security considerations. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
