Job Title: Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1Location: Orlando, FL
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr. - $25.00/hr.
Hours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience as a Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1Proficient in blueprint reading and weld symbols
- Ability to perform welds meeting AWS D1.1 (X-ray, MT, PT standards)
- Experience with layout, fit-up, and structural fabrication
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1 to join our team. The Structural Welder / Fitter AWS D1.1 will be responsible for reading blueprints, performing layout and fit-up, and executing high-quality welds that meet customer specifications and AWS standards. This role requires strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform layout, fit-up, and welding of structural materials per prints and specifications
- Interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately
- Ensure weld quality meets AWS D1.1 standards and inspection requirements
- Operate tools such as drill presses, grinders, saws, and hand tools
- Safely use forklifts, cranes, and shop equipment
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements
