About the role

Key Responsibilities: Verify and validate equipment and tooling through all phases of product and equipment validation. Qualify machinery and support tooling changeovers and equipment installations. Perform equipment buy-offs and ensure project milestones are completed on schedule. Provide onsite support at supplier facilities as required. Analyze and interpret equipment downtime and performance data. Identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions to improve equipment performance. Work closely with plant, engineering, maintenance, and supplier teams to resolve equipment-related issues. Support manufacturing projects from equipment installation through production launch. Ensure equipment and tooling meet required manufacturing, quality, safety, and performance standards. Communicate project status, issues, and corrective actions effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience. Hands-on experience with equipment validation and machinery qualification. Experience performing equipment buy-offs and supporting manufacturing milestones. Strong ability to analyze downtime, equipment performance, and production data. Hands-on experience with CNC machining. Experience with block/prismatic machining processes. Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with plant teams, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams. Willingness to work onsite in Bay City, MI and travel to supplier locations when required.
