Job Description: Job Description The CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) operates CNC mills, CNC lathes, and multi-axis machining centers in a high-volume production environment. Reporting to the Machining Supervisor, this role machines steel, stainless steel, and mixed materials while maintaining precision, productivity, documentation, and safety standards.
Responsibilities: Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and multi-axis machining centers. Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T requirements to machining operations. Set up machines and adjust tool offsets for accurate production. Program and edit G-code as needed. Perform precision inspections and in-process measurements using calipers, micrometers, and related equipment. Maintain cutting tools and support consistent machining performance. Complete production documentation accurately. Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance in a high-volume production environment.
Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of CNC machining experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with CNC milling, CNC turning, lathes, mills, and manual machining. Knowledge of G-code, blueprint reading, and GD&T.Experience with precision measurement using calipers and micrometers. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of safety procedures.
