Position Description: Shifts will vary approximately 4-6 hours per day (includingpractices and game coverage as assigned)
Reports To: Head Athletic Trainer
Job Responsibilities: Provide on-site athletic training coverage for practices, competitions, and events as assigned. Evaluate, treat, and manage athletic injuries in accordancewith established protocols. Assist with injury prevention strategies, including taping, bracing, and warm-up oversight. Administer therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation exercisesunder the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer. Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate firstaid and acute care. Communicate effectively with coaches, athletes, and athletictraining staff regarding injury status and participation. Maintain accurate and timely injury documentation and treatmentrecords. Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe athletictraining environment. Adhere to institutional policies, departmental procedures, andapplicable governing body regulations.
Requirements: NATABOC certified, NY State licensed or eligible. CPR / AEDcertified. Strong computer, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends and some holidays asneeded. Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred inAthletic Training or related field.2+ years of experience in higher education or professionalsports setting. Ability to work evenings, weekends and some holidays asneeded. Possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift equipment on occasion and work in variousenvironmental conditions. Ability to foster positive relationships and createpartnerships with a wide range of constituent groups. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong attentionto detail and keep specific timelines. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillswith the ability to problem solve.
