Role Description:
This part-time remote Finance Account Specialist role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely financial support for the organization’s operations. The specialist will review and reconcile financial statements, assist with general accounting entries, and monitor account balances and transactions. Daily responsibilities include analyzing financial data, supporting finance reporting, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. The role also involves assisting with payroll administration tasks, maintaining documentation for audits and compliance, and using financial tools and systems to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
Strong finance and accounting skills, including familiarity with budgeting, general ledger activities, and financial processes. Experience working with financial statements and related reports, with the ability to interpret and verify accuracy. Demonstrated analytical skills to review data, identify trends or variances, and recommend corrective actions. Knowledge of payroll administration practices, including timekeeping, payroll processing support, and documentation. Proficiency with spreadsheet and accounting software; comfort working in remote, technology-enabled environments. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently. Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with finance, HR, and operational teams. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
