Cabinet Assembler Out of the Woods, located in Layton, Utah, is a woodworking and cabinetry company built on craftsmanship, quality, and pride in doing things right. We are looking for a Cabinet Assembler to join our Cabinet Shop team. Pay: $16.75/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite | MondayFriday | 6:00 AM3:30 PM

Benefits Available: Medical, Dental, VisionSimple IRAVoluntary Life Insurance Up to 6 PTO days per year and 6 paid holidays Cabinet Assembly As a Cabinet Assembler, you'll accurately assemble cabinets while carefully handling finished wood parts to maintain quality.
Responsibilities include: Complete built cabinet boxes by installing drawer slides, accessories, completed doors, drawer boxes, and drawer fronts. Set up and operate woodworking machines. Use handheld tools and power tools safely and effectively. Read and interpret blueprints. Follow quality and safety procedures, including requirements outlined in Safety Data Sheets and other company guides. Maintain strong attention to detail and quality throughout the assembly process. Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers. Set up, maintain, and clean your workstation. Immediately notify management of equipment problems or other observed safety risks. Perform other duties and functions as necessary or assigned.
Delivery Responsibilities, If Assigned: Some Cabinet Assemblers may also be assigned to deliver cabinets to job sites. When assigned as a driver, responsibilities include: Load cabinets into the company truck and properly strap and secure them for transport. Drive the company truck containing cabinets to client locations while following all traffic laws. Unload cabinets from the company truck at client locations. Drive the empty truck back to the company location. Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and coworkers. Maintain all equipment used on the job, including the delivery vehicle. Perform a vehicle inspection each day before use. Immediately report any vehicle problems and complete the appropriate documentation. Notify management immediately of equipment problems or other observed safety risks. Assist the assembly team in the warehouse during slower delivery periods.
What We're Looking For: Required/Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in cabinetry, woodworking, assembly, manufacturing, construction, or a related field preferred. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with employees, management, executives, and customers. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening requirements.
For Delivery Driver Responsibilities: Valid driver's license with a clean and insurable driving record required. Ability to safely operate a company delivery vehicle. Ability to load, unload, and secure cabinets for transport. Comfortable driving to customer job sites as needed.
Preferred: Cabinet assembly or finish carpentry experience. Forklift experience. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Carry out two to four deliveries on a typical day when assigned delivery responsibilities. Regularly read labels, signs, measuring devices, and computers. Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Regularly stand for long periods of time. Use a computer to enter data and read information on computer screens. Perform repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements. Regularly feel the attributes of objects, grasp, push, and reach with arms or hands. Regularly lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Exposure to typical warehouse noise and dust. Regularly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including closed-toe shoes and eye and hearing protection. Out of the Woods is looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced cabinet shop environment.
